Club Sandwich

A classic layered dish featuring turkey or chicken, bacon, fresh vegetables, and mayonnaise, perfect for lunch or a quick dinner.

Ingredients

  • 3 slices of bread (white, whole wheat, or any preferred type)
  • 23 slices of cooked turkey or chicken breast
  • 23 slices of cooked bacon
  • 2 slices of tomato
  • Leafy green lettuce (like Romaine or Iceberg)
  • Mayonnaise
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: cheese slices, avocado, or pickles

Instructions

  1. Start by toasting the bread slices until they are golden brown.
  2. Once toasted, lay one slice of bread on a cutting board. Spread a generous layer of mayonnaise on one side.
  3. Layer the turkey or chicken slices on top of the mayonnaise. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
  4. Place a layer of lettuce leaves on top of the turkey or chicken.
  5. Add the tomato slices on top of the lettuce.
  6. Take another slice of bread and spread mayonnaise on one side. Place this slice mayonnaise-side down on top of the tomatoes.
  7. Add the cooked bacon strips on this new slice of bread.
  8. Add another layer of lettuce over the bacon, followed by more tomato slices.
  9. Add the last slice of bread on top, mayonnaise-side down.
  10. To make it easier to eat, cut the sandwich into quarters or halves.
  11. Serve immediately along with your favorite side dishes.

Notes

Use high-quality bread and don’t skip toasting the bread for better texture. Feel free to customize with different proteins or spreads.
