Creamy Beef and Shells

A hearty and comforting dish that combines ground beef, tender shell pasta, and a luscious cream sauce for a satisfying meal.

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 8 oz medium shell pasta
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or a blend)
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Sauté diced onion and minced garlic until translucent, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add ground beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  4. Cook shell pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water according to package instructions, then drain.
  5. Add beef broth to the skillet and bring to a simmer.
  6. Stir in heavy cream and simmer until slightly thickened.
  7. Combine drained pasta and shredded cheese into the skillet, stirring until well combined.
  8. Adjust seasoning if necessary.
  9. Serve warm, garnished with fresh herbs and extra cheese if desired.

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh, but can be stored in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Reheat on the stovetop adding a splash of milk or broth if needed.
