Creamy Ravioli Sauce

  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 23 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 23 fresh ripe tomatoes, chopped or 1 can (1415 ounces) diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil or parsley (optional)
  • Frozen or refrigerated ravioli
  • Parmesan cheese (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Sauté onions and garlic until fragrant, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add tomatoes and stir together.
  4. Cook tomatoes for about 5-7 minutes until soft.
  5. Pour in heavy cream and stir to combine.
  6. Sprinkle in salt and pepper, letting the sauce simmer for 5 minutes.
  7. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the ravioli according to package instructions.
  8. Combine the cooked ravioli with the creamy sauce.
  9. Serve topped with Parmesan cheese and fresh herbs.
