Easy Shawarma Marinade

A flavorful marinade for chicken, beef, or vegetables, ideal for grilling or adding to hummus bowls.

Ingredients

  • Cumin
  • Paprika
  • Cinnamon
  • Ginger
  • Oregano
  • Turmeric
  • Lemon juice
  • Honey
  • Chicken (for grilling or hummus bowl)

Instructions

  1. Combine cumin, paprika, cinnamon, ginger, oregano, turmeric, lemon juice, and honey in a bowl.
  2. Mix well until all ingredients are combined thoroughly.
  3. Coat the chicken with the marinade, ensuring every piece is covered. Let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Grill the marinated chicken until fully cooked, about 6-8 minutes per side, ensuring the internal temperature reaches at least 165°F (75°C).
  5. Serve the grilled shawarma chicken as desired, either on its own or in a hummus bowl.

Notes

For best results, let the chicken marinate for several hours or overnight.
