Dreamy Garlic Butter Chicken and Bowtie Pasta

A creamy delight that combines the richness of garlic butter with tender chicken and bowtie pasta, perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz bowtie pasta
  • 2 chicken breasts, diced
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta: Start by boiling water in a large pot. Once it reaches a rolling boil, add the bowtie pasta. Cook according to the package instructions, usually about 8-10 minutes, until it is al dente. Be sure to stir occasionally so it doesn’t stick together. Once cooked, drain the pasta in a colander and set aside.
  2. Cook the chicken: In a large skillet, melt 4 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Once the butter is melted and bubbly, add the diced chicken cubes. Season the chicken with salt and pepper to taste. Cook the chicken for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it is browned and fully cooked.
  3. Add garlic: Next, add the minced garlic to the skillet with the chicken. Sauté the garlic for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly until it becomes fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic, as it can become bitter if overcooked.
  4. Make the sauce: After the garlic has cooked rightly, pour in 1 cup of heavy cream and 1 cup of chicken broth. Stir everything together to combine. Allow the sauce to come to a gentle simmer and let it cook for about 5 minutes.
  5. Combine with pasta: Add the cooked bowtie pasta to the skillet. Using tongs or a spatula, toss the pasta in the creamy sauce until it is well coated.
  6. Serve: Once combined, serve warm, garnished with fresh chopped parsley.

Notes
