- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cups cherry tomatoes, diced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
- Balsamic glaze for drizzling
- Optional: fresh mozzarella pearls
- 1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- 2. Slice baguette into rounds and use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut bread.
- 3. Brush bread lightly with olive oil and place on a baking sheet.
- 4. Bake for 8–10 minutes until lightly toasted.
- 5. In a bowl, combine tomatoes, garlic, balsamic vinegar, salt, pepper, and basil.
- 6. Top each toasted bread heart with tomato mixture.
- 7. Add mozzarella if using.
- 8. Drizzle with balsamic glaze just before serving.
Notes
- Toast bread just before serving for best texture.
- Rub toasted bread with a garlic clove for extra flavor.
- Can be served warm or at room temperature.
