Charming heart-shaped bruschetta appetizers made with crispy toasted bread, juicy tomatoes, fresh basil, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze a festive and elegant party bite perfect for Valentine’s Day or special gatherings.

  • 1 baguette
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cups cherry tomatoes, diced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • Balsamic glaze for drizzling
  • Optional: fresh mozzarella pearls

Instructions

  • 1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • 2. Slice baguette into rounds and use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut bread.
  • 3. Brush bread lightly with olive oil and place on a baking sheet.
  • 4. Bake for 8–10 minutes until lightly toasted.
  • 5. In a bowl, combine tomatoes, garlic, balsamic vinegar, salt, pepper, and basil.
  • 6. Top each toasted bread heart with tomato mixture.
  • 7. Add mozzarella if using.
  • 8. Drizzle with balsamic glaze just before serving.

Notes

  • Toast bread just before serving for best texture.
  • Rub toasted bread with a garlic clove for extra flavor.
  • Can be served warm or at room temperature.
