Homemade Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bread

A delightful treat combining warm, earthy pumpkin flavors with sweetness from chocolate, perfect for breakfast or dessert.

  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan with butter or cooking spray.
  3. Mix together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a medium bowl.
  4. Combine the pumpkin puree, sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract in a separate bowl and mix until smooth.
  5. Combine the dry mixture with the wet mixture, stirring gently until just mixed.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  7. Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 60-70 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
  9. Cool the bread in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
