Cold Brew Coffee

Cold brew coffee is a smooth, rich, and refreshing beverage made by steeping coffee grounds in cold water, resulting in a naturally sweeter flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup whole coffee beans (medium to dark roast)
  • 8 cups filtered water

Instructions

  1. Grind the beans: Start by using a coffee grinder to roughly grind up your coffee beans to a coarse grind.
  2. Mix: Place the ground coffee beans in a large jar and pour 8 cups of filtered water over them, ensuring they are submerged.
  3. Refrigerate: Place the jar in the refrigerator and let it steep for 24 to 48 hours.
  4. Strain: After steeping, strain the coffee mixture through a cheesecloth to catch any grounds.
  5. Serve/Store: Serve it over ice or store it in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.

Notes

Use fresh high-quality coffee beans for the best flavor. Adjust the coffee-to-water ratio to your taste preference.
