Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pineapple
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon butter (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon sugar (optional)

Instructions

  2. Make the marinade by combining honey, lime juice, and cinnamon in a zip-top bag or container.
  3. Marinate the pineapple spears in the marinade for at least 30 minutes, preferably overnight.
  4. Preheat the oven’s broiler on high and line a baking tray with aluminum foil.
  5. Make the optional glaze by melting butter and stirring in sugar.
  6. Broil the pineapple spears for about 8 to 10 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning.

Notes

Choose a ripe pineapple for the best flavor. Don’t skip the marinade to infuse flavor.
