Shrimp Tortellini Alfredo

A delightful dish that combines the rich creaminess of Alfredo sauce with tender tortellini and succulent shrimp, perfect for any occasion.

  • 12 oz cheese tortellini
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the tortellini in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions, about 3 to 5 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Sauté minced garlic in the skillet until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Add shrimp, seasoning with salt and pepper. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes until shrimp turn pink and opaque.
  5. Pour heavy cream into the skillet, stirring with shrimp and garlic. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  6. Gradually stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  7. Add the cooked tortellini to the Alfredo sauce, tossing to coat evenly.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with freshly chopped parsley.

Serve with garlic bread or a fresh salad for a complete meal. You can also add vegetables like spinach or peas for extra nutrition.
