Homemade Lasagna

A classic Italian lasagna packed with layers of pasta, rich meat sauce, and creamy cheeses.

  • Lasagna noodles
  • Ground beef or Italian sausage
  • Ricotta cheese
  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Marinara sauce
  • 1 Egg
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente.
  3. Prepare the meat sauce by cooking ground beef or sausage in a skillet until browned, adding marinara sauce, and simmering for a few minutes.
  4. Mix the ricotta cheese with one egg, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning until smooth.
  5. Assemble the lasagna in a baking dish with layers of meat sauce, noodles, ricotta mixture, and mozzarella cheese, finishing with meat sauce and mozzarella on top.
  6. Bake covered with foil for 25 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
  7. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve with a fresh green salad and garlic bread for a complete meal.
